Description of the research topic:
PFA compounds are also called "forever chemicals" due to their environmental occurrence and persistence. In Europe, from 2026 it will be mandatory to monitor the occurrence of these compounds in drinking water in all member states. Compounds tend to enriche in biological media, which makes testing food an important task. The doctoral student develops and validates analytical methods in order to get a more accurate picture of the PFAS contamination of our food, not only in Hungary.
