Description of the research topic:
The ownership structure and the sectoral background of enterprises are the determining factors for their operating conditions, cost structure and basic financial functioning. As a result, they may face different risks and cost structures, which also orient their financial management. The topic reflects on the financial management solutions implemented by companies operating in different sectors and with different ownership backgrounds, and how they have been able to weather the exogenous crisis situations of the first half of the 2020s. The topic can be investigated using case study methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Proposed research directions:
- Selecting a specific sector and exploring its financial management techniques;
- Explore the resilience and financial management of a sector or ownership segment;
- Developing an indicator structure to measure resilience and testing it in a domestic and possibly international context;
- Exploring the link between financial management and resilience.
