Description of the research topic:
The rapidly spreading digital technologies of the fourth industrial revolution opened a wide range of new possibilities towards the improvement of human quality of life.
Many of these technologies have already been used in the service industries for accessing information, managing data, and facilitating social interactions. Examples for digital technologies in healthcare include wearable sensors, electronic management of health data, health-monitoring mobile applications, telemedicinal devices, or the use of artificial intelligence in radiological and oncological diagnostics. Due to the specifics of the field, fewer initiatives have been available for improving mental health by digital technologies. The topic aims at the development of a research project that investigates the applicability of digital technologies for improving mental health such as adaptive tests for monitoring mental health, softwares for analyzing narratives (content), and chatbots.
