Description of the research topic:

The presence of trace elements such as selenium (Se), arsenic (As), and mercury (Hg) in food samples has significant implications for human health due to their potential toxicity and essential roles. The consumption of food and drink is one of the main sources of exposure to toxic metals such as mercury and arsenic. Selenium, on the other hand, is an essential nutritional element and is often added as a supplement to food for health benefits. Analytical methods for the accurate determination of these elements are crucial for ensuring food safety and quality. Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) techniques, coupled with various sample introduction methods, offer sensitive and reliable approaches for elemental analysis in complex matrices like food
