Description of the research topic:
As part of the research, a specific objective is to look at the environmental performance of individual products, which products are the most wasteful, which segments of the food chain generate the most waste, and how this compares with EU countries. The issue of environmental awareness is also of major importance in the business sector, and therefore the research question is how important each company considers the issue of environmental awareness to be, and to what extent they address it in their production, manufacturing and service provision, but the main research question is what economic impact it has on the economic performance of each company.
The practical utility of the research results is that they can contribute to raising awareness of the importance of sustainable food production and consumption, and to the practical implementation of the recommendations made from the research results in these areas.
