Description of the research topic:
In oncology, comprehensive omics and functional enrichment studies have led to extensive profiling of genetic changes in molecular pathways that can be attributed to the clinical phenotype of the tumor mass. Consequently, molecular pathway-based therapeutic interventions are prominent in different types of cancer. In line with this, the main achievement of modern oncology is that the efficient treatment is coupled with deep-molecular analysis. The proposed PhD project focuses on the high-troughput screening of DNA repair deficient tumor cells applying DNA damage respone monitoring systems in combination with deep sequencing.
Required language skills: English Further requirements: Strong background in molecular cell biology.
