Description of the research topic:

This topic explores the impact of extramural (free time) activities, such as gaming, reading, listening to music, watching films and TV shows, social media, on language learning outcomes, focusing on how these activities interact with individual differences among learners, including autonomy, motivation, anxiety, willingness to communicate, cognitive styles, affect, etc. It aims to dissect which out-of-class experiences contribute to or hinder the acquisition of a second language and how these activities may be used to improve second language proficiency.
