Description of the research topic:

The aim of the PhD topic is to prepare for the future industrial paradigm shift, with particular emphasis on Industry 5.0. The research focuses on mechatronic solutions inspired by Industry 4.0, which integrate traditional mechanical, electrical, and software systems to optimize industrial processes. The investigation explores the application of industrial robots, especially in the automotive manufacturing sector, where autonomous machines and intelligently controlled production processes are essential for improving efficiency and quality. Additionally, the topic includes the production of customized products using methods similar to mass production, utilizing industrial technologies with a focus on organizing information flow and manufacturing processes into networks. The development and application of intelligent workpieces are key elements in increasing productivity and flexibility, enabling real-time data collection and analysis to optimize manufacturing processes, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of industrial companies during the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0.
