Description of the research topic:

In recent decades, experiments have been launched in the world and in Hungary to find alternatives to environmentally damaging large-scale agriculture and soil depletion in rural areas, and to find a "green" turnaround in cities. Meanwhile, there is also high-level theoretical exploration of the breakthrough points, directions and opportunities for a transition that makes a more harmonious coexistence with the natural environment conceivable, workable and sustainable through innovative and viable community, economic, political and cultural relations. And what role can the digital ecosystem and information literacy play in all this?

Further information and registration (optional):
While only a small part of the theoretical quests have been communicated to the domestic scientific community in an appropriate interpretative framework, our knowledge of the variety, scope and effectiveness of experiments worldwide is also very patchy. What are the possible building blocks of an ecological turnaround, what is the full "dictionary" of pioneering attempts, what are the key narratives, the most important research areas. At the same time, we know sporadically, through media articles, some of the domestic 'pathfinders' who are considered worthy of publicity, but we do not have a comprehensive, statistically substantiated picture of how many people and with how much success are practising organic farming, forest gardening, restorative practices in rural areas, how many successful 'green projects' have been completed, are currently underway or are planning to be launched in cities. Ranging from the purely theoretical to the extreme between fieldwork and site visits, visitors can choose from a wide range of attractive research tasks and topic hybrids, and even crown their investigations with active strategy and intervention design, including their own experiments. The chosen research may have a regional, county, Western Transdanubian, Transdanubian, national, Carpathian Basin, Eastern European, European or global focus, even in comparative form.
