Description of the research topic:
Software engineering activities are supported by several types of recommendation systems, like the code completion during typeing in intelligent IDEs. Such recommendation systems can be employed in software development, maintenance and evolution phases as well. The aim of this research topic is the analysis, design, development and evaluation of recommendation systems. The topic provides opportunity to research airtificial intelligence methods, since most recommenders employ heuristical approach. A concrete example of a proposed recommendation system is when a developer is assigned to a change request, in this situation historical development data (svn/git patches, project discussions, previous expertise) can be used to predict/recommend an appropriate developer.
