Description of the research topic:
Terrestrial laser scanning broadens its application field in traditional surveying. The goal is to investigate the potential of terrestrial laser scanning in engineering survey. This topic includes deformation and displacement measurement and analysis of engineering structures and objects. The research involves the comparative analysis and accuracy assessment of laser scanning and conventional surveying methods considering particular applications. Cooperation is expected with other departments of the Faculty and with the industrial partners of the Department of Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics.
