Description of the research topic:

We aim to demonstrate the importance of genetic counseling and genotype-phenotype correlations in familial diseases. Our investigations focuses on two groups of patients: we plan to enroll families suffering from familial pancreatitis and familial melanoma into our study. Through Sanger and next-generation sequencing, we plan to identify the variants that can be associated with the development of these diseases within these families.
