Description of the research topic:
Inorganic nanocarriers are of emerging interest among drug delivery systems, due to their excellent mechanical properties and sensitivity to external stimuli. The aim of the topic is the development and functionalization of titanate nanotube-based delivery systems in order to optimize absorption, biocompatibility and drug release. The chemical properties of the samples are tested with instrumental tests (FT-IR, Raman, XRPD, TG-DSC), while their toxicity is tested with cell line and animal experimental methods (in cooperation).
