Description of the research topic:

Description: Virtual reality (VR) is not just a platform for gaming and entertainment - increasingly, it is also expected to become a new medium of communication and collaboration. Information - both 2D and 3D - can be shared and presented much more effectively using 3D virtual spaces than using more traditional directory and file structures. The goal of this research is to find ways to create VR spaces that are adaptive to their users' goals and re-configurable based on the application scenario. Students working on this topic will be expected to develop models describing both the users of the environment and the data that is shared within the environment in order to facilitate faster communication through VR spaces.
