Description of the research topic:
Analysis of screen media depictions of the state socialist decades and the events of 1989 from an interdisciplinary perspective. Besides film studies, the methodology of postcolonial theory, memory and trauma studies, sociology, anthropology and postcommunism studies will be employed to analyze televisual, feature film and documentary depictions of the mentioned era.
