Description of the research topic:
The aim of the PhD research is to examine, how the outstanding and well-known values – both tangible and intangible – of the various administrative levels can atypically contribute to the sustainable (environmental, social, economic) development of rural Hungary in both the domestic and foreign research areas within the framework provided by the Hungaricum Act. Furthermore, how the mentioned values – as breakthroughs in local resource-based economic development – can improve and stabilize the population retention force, reorganize the social structure, and establish a value-based economic upturn through the creation of a coherent local identity. One of the main endeavours is to enumerate and compare the management of natural–environmental–landscape-specific resources, regarded as endowments, with the other, constructed, artificial values of socio–economic importance and their organizational methodology, and the elaboration of a methodology for their ecological, complex rural development use and reinterpretation.
