Description of the research topic:
Inorganic (e.g. heavy metals) and organic contaminants (e.g. fuel) represent significant risk in water/soil/plant system. For example the heavy metals may not be decomposed biologically, therefore they accumulate and enter the food chain, which starts with the accumulation in plants. The organic pollutants, e.g. fuel causes nutritional value of plants which may be reduced, but causes a higher concentration of contamination the crop already be destroyed, or it may not sprout.
Nowadays, is an actual task the effect of inorganic and organic contaminants to the environment, and the search is also important for crops, which are specific for certain environmental pollution rapid detection.
The modelling of spreading of the pollution in the environment is an actual research task nowadays too, which would be relevant in evaluating the experiments.
The HPLC and GC techniques are available and Maple 14 software package is also available for modelling work.
