Description of the research topic:
The proposed research aims at development of novel nanostructured materials for electrochemical energy storage devices. A major objective of the proposed research is to understand the aging mechanism of electrochemical storage devices used in electrical cars and propose pertinent solutions. It will involve the application of hyphenated nanoscale experimental investigation methods such as Scanning Spreading Resistance Microscopy, as well as theoretical simulation of electrochemical processess.
