Description of the research topic:
In recent years, the spread of sustainable investments has become more significant, the popularity of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) financial products is growing, they are competing with traditional investment products in terms of returns and risk, and they are directly or indirectly in the service of sustainability. The European Union strongly supports the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient and more sustainable economy and is at the forefront of efforts to build a financial system that supports sustainable growth. The Green Program of the central bank of Hungary (Magyar Nemzeti Bank) was launched in Hungary in 2019, with the aim of catching up with Hungary's sustainability by linking finances and environmental sustainability.
