Description of the research topic:
The objectives of the topic are:
1. Determination of the prevalence of diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome, and validation of the risk stratification-based questionnaire - FINDRISC - for the Roma minority.
2. Determination of the impact and effectiveness of lifestyle and dietary interventions in the prevention of metabolic syndrome and diabetes mellitus among the Roma population.
3. Follow-up on the effects of lifestyle and dietary interventions, with particular emphasis on the prevention of complications related to metabolic syndrome and diabetes mellitus.
