Description of the research topic:
Three-dimensional (3D) multicellular tumor models are used in cancer research as an intermediate model between in vitro cancer cell line cultures and in vivo tumor. It is known that tumors with an increased number of mutations displaying unique mutational signatures often present a more aggressive phenotype. The proposed PhD project focuses on assessing the role of mutational burden on tumor behavior applying 3D cell culture technology.
