Description of the research topic:
Assistive technologies offer help for impaired people to enhance their everyday life. Wearables (travel aids) have become important also for healthy individuals. Visually impaired are the main focus group in this project during developing different applications on mobile devices and/or in Virtual Reality environments using special equipment for Braille-reading and audio playback with spatialized audio over alternative headphones (such as bone conduction, tube-like or multi-speaker). Research is aimed at development of applications (programming) and measurement tests with individuals, including evaluation. Basic programming skills, good English for writing papers and communication is required.
