Description of the research topic:
The „Muraközi” horse is a somewhat lighter than Hungarian Coldblodded and looks like the so called „noriker” type horse. It is hard-working, able to trott on a long distance, vital, works under saddle or in carriage, too. However, the population is the smallest and it is the youngest horse breed in Hungary. So, the homogenization and the developement of some important traits is essential. Taking and collecting, and hereby scientific, statistical analysis of the conformation, growth, reproduction and temperament traits could help the breeders to carry out the goals and to improve of the breeding programme.
