Description of the topic
We start out from cognitive theories of the philosophy of the mind and language philosophy. After reviewing facts and findings in the history of educational philosophy and educational theory we turn to practical questions of applied nature in educational philosophy (Locke, Rousseau, Kant, Davidson, Wittgenstein, Fodor, Dennett, Sperber). By creating new paradigms in educational philosophy we attempt to map and tap into modern theories in cognitive psychology, educational sciences, linguistics, and pedagogy (Kant, Dewey, Montessori).
Reviewing some important traits of 21st century society that shape the development, mindset, social relationships, education and cognitive architecture of today’s generations and the educational psychology of our society, we map the underpinnings of efficient methodologies targeting the typical features of our society that offer solutions for shortcomings in crucial situations in education sciences (mindfulness, project method, multimodality, museum pedagogy and cooperative techniques).
