Description of the research topic:
The research topic, in line with the applied philosophical approach of the school, concerns the study of law conceived as a cultural phenomenon, from the perspective of legal and social philosophy.
It focuses on the assessment of legal and ethical norms that have governed the society and its autonomous communities in distinct historical periods.
A major aspect of this assessment is studying how legal folk traditions shaped the history of legal reasoning and legal culture in the context of European legal modernization.
The PhD topic concerns these complex and extensive questions.
While studying the relationship between law and culture, it offers an excellent opportunity to apply legal-, ethical- and social philosophical methods to evaluate the legal historical, legal culture historical and legal ethnographical impact of legal tradition.
