Description of the research topic:
Exploration of the transient sky is one of the hottest front field of today's observational astronomy. It enables us to discover and examine many new types of objects and phenomena whose existence was completely unknown before. The student is expected to join and take part in several national- and international-led observational programs aimed at transient discovery. He/she should learn, implement and apply numerical methods for detection and classification of transient astrophysical objects.
Required language skills: English Further requirements: MSc diploma in physics or astronomy, programming and digital image processing skills.
