Description of the research topic:
This research is focused on the development of new spectroanalytical methods and instrumentation for the analysis of samples of materials science, environmental, biological or industrial origin with the purpose of the determination of atomic or molecular components. The developments aim at allowing a better analytical performance and/or the application of advanced data evaluation approaches. Measurement techniques employed in the project include one or more items from the following list: inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), laser ablation (LA), laser induced breakdown spectroscopy, absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy.
