The research will give a detailed overview of the cultural landscape idea, its importance in international heritage conservation projects and will explore how the concept in China, USA and Europe has been studied and applied before and now.
Geography, hydrography, culture and energy potential of a region defines primarily the economical background as well for the protection and development of cultural landscapes.
Research objectives: to provide economically and environmentally sustainable planning solutions for historic and/or cultural landscapes, to mitigate the influences of climate change; to implement storm water management in the landscape heritage protection development; to access the potential of substantial benefits of cultural landscapes in existing urban and rural scenario (case studies); to rethink and reshape the cultural landscapes by energy transition and tourism development into self-sustainable sites; to promote the active citizen partnership in cultural landscape related projects by supporting community ideas.
